Research
I will travel to repositories in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa to inspect and copy original documents and conduct on-site research. I research people, places and things (family heirlooms, for example). I am experienced and have expertise in research at:
Consultation and Problem-Solving
If you’ve hit a “brick wall” in your research and need help with finding new avenues to pursue, I will provide a consultation and review the problem with you. I will help you discover new strategies for solving your problem, analyze your notes for hidden clues or acquaint you with area resources with which you may be unfamiliar.
Organization
Has your research snowballed into an unmanageable pile of notes and documents? Let me help you organize them into a coherent project using a powerful genealogical database. Once you’ve cleared the clutter, you will be able to set new goals for your research and continue to climb your family tree!
Adoption and Family Secrets
My background as an adoptee and a Master’s level Social Worker make me especially well suited to assist you in sensitive areas of adoption and family secrets. Each situation is different but all are treated confidentially and professionally. Tell me about your sensitive research issue and I will advise you on the best course of action for your situation.
No Problem Too Big or Too Small!
Email your specific request to receive a research plan designed especially for you.
Gift Certificates are Available
What better gift than helping your loved one find the missing piece of their past? Gift certificates may be purchased in any dollar amount--from a research consultation or an entire project.
